Another variation on the Nomad phone holder

Lots of cloudy nights of late so I have finally had a chance to do one of the most requested variations on my 3D printed phone holder for the MSM Nomad tracker. This version holds the phone at 90 degrees to the original version which make it compatable with phone software such as PS Align Pro. If you are happy using the original version (link here) don’t bother changing. But if you would prefer to use PS Align Pro and its daylight polar align function feel free to download and 3D print the holder at this link.

It is very much still the prototype, but seems to work well in my limited testing. If you do print it I suggest just using PLA, a wall thinkness of 3, 30% infil using a gyroid pattern and it goes much faster if printed in red. It fits perfectly when printed with my Bambu Labs H2D and A1, but not all 3D printers are created equal so if you have some problems with fit on the Nomad a small about of judicious work with some sandpaper seems to solve the issue.

The usual conditions apply and I ask you not to post the print files (modified or not) on any download sites or sell printed copies of the design. But other than that have fun and clear skies.

So why do I use a V-bracket on my Nomad setup?
